Mike Gaynor is the owner of Back on Track and COO of Novo Healthnet Ltd. He graduated from Queen's University in 1989 with his BSc in Physiotherapy. Mike's clinical experience includes private practice as well as a sports medicine clinic. In 1994 Mike opened the founding Back On Track Physiotherapy Centre on Hunt Club. Over the past 3 decades Mike has expanded his passion for outstanding patient care by opening 12 different locations of Back on Track to serve Ottawa and surrounding areas.

Mike has taken numerous post graduate courses in a variety of areas including manual therapy, orthopaedics, sports medicine, rehabilitation exercise, and acupuncture and is committed to the continuing education process. He became a Fellow of the Canadian Academy Manipulative Therapy (CAMT) in 1999, receiving his Diploma of Advanced Manual & Manipulative Physiotherapy. He has been an assistant instructor in post-graduate studies for physiotherapists with the Orthopaedic Division of the CPA since 1996. Areas of interest include manual therapy, sports injuries (hockey, golf, track and field), and rehabilitation exercise.

With over 15 years of experience, Priyanka Shukla is a dedicated physiotherapist specializing in musculoskeletal and sports injury rehabilitation. She holds a Master's degree in Physiotherapy from Padmashree Dr. D.Y. Patil University, Mumbai, and a Bachelor's degree from Rajiv Gandhi University.

Priyanka has extensive experience treating a wide range of cases, including acute and chronic musculoskeletal conditions, sports-related injuries, and post–orthopedic surgical rehabilitation. She has recently expanded her practice to include vestibular therapy, supporting patients experiencing symptoms such as vertigo, dizziness, imbalance, and post-concussion concerns.

Her patient-centered approach integrates manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, cupping, acupuncture/dry needling, and patient education to promote effective recovery, restore function, and enhance quality of life.

Outside of her professional work, Priyanka enjoys spending time with her daughter, cooking, traveling, and nurturing her passion for dance and singing. She also has a rich background in Indian classical music and dance.

Candice is a skilled Registered Massage Therapist, licensed with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario. A proud mother of three, she was born and raised in Ottawa and now resides in Kemptville. With roots in the beautiful island of St. Lucia, she brings a rich cultural perspective to her practice.

As an honours graduate of Trios College (formerly the International Academy of Health and Science), Candice focuses on treating clients who have chronic pain, by creating customized treatment plans tailored to each individual. Her approach not only helps clients find relief but also works to reduce the risk of recurrence. In addition, Candice is expanding her knowledge in head, neck, and TMJ disorders to offer even more comprehensive care. With over 20 years of experience in health care, she has a deep understanding of how the body responds to repetitive patterns and physical stress. Her holistic approach emphasizes both physical and mental well-being through massage therapy.

In her free time, Candice enjoys racket sports like badminton, tennis, and squash, and loves spending time outdoors, especially on the water with family and friends.

James grew up in Trenton Ontario, and graduated in 2010 from Algonquin College Massage Therapy Program. He has developed excellent skills as an RMT over a 10yr plus career. James is a professional and compassionate therapist with experience in lymphatic drainage, joint mobilizations, neuromuscular techniques, and gait assessment.

As a young child James started doing massage for family and friends growing into a passion for discovering the healing power of touch.

James believes more people can become healthier and benefit from the therapeutic touch of massage therapy. He enjoys the rewarding relationships he builds with his clients as he helps them lead healthier lives and would love to meet you too.

James has travelled regionally and globally opening his perspective to different cultures and peoples. He also is an avid movie watcher, coin collector and explorer, now with 2 little kiddos along for the adventure.

As an Occupational Therapist who grew up in the Ottawa area, I have attended both the University of Guelph for an undergraduate degree in Biology, as well as McGill University to complete my Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy. After graduation, I returned to the Ottawa area and work with adults and children in the community for the past 26 years.

My services include assessment of the Activities of Daily Living (ADL's) of adults with various physical and mental health needs to determine their service and equipment needs, particularly around home safety. I have provided OT services to adults in various settings, including those with Stroke, Dementia, ALS, Muscular Dystrophy, Multiple Sclerosis, and hip/knee replacements. I have provided services for WSIB and MVA clients, including Ergonomic, Home Safety, Home Accessibility and Mobility assessments, interventions, and follow-ups including the Assisted Devices Program (ADP) as an authorizer.

I have effectively managed a caseload of adults with disabilities as a rehabilitation consultant to assess their vocational skills and readiness for employment - prepared and assisted clients for job searching, job interviews, job development, job placement and job retention.

Helping to maximize the functioning of people in their own environments continues to be a passion, and I also continue to enjoy travelling and spending time with my family at the cottage over the summer months.

As the first point of contact for many patients, Kimberley ensures that everyone who walks through our doors feels welcomed, valued, and well-cared for from their very first visit. Her friendly demeanor and attention to detail help create the positive, supportive atmosphere that defines the Back on Track experience.

With exceptional communication skills and a genuine passion for helping people, Kimberley expertly manages appointment scheduling, patient inquiries, insurance coordination, and clinic operations. She works closely with our entire clinical team to ensure seamless care coordination and makes it her priority to address any patient needs or concerns promptly and professionally. Kimberley's dedication to exceptional patient service helps our clinic run smoothly and ensures every patient receives the outstanding care they deserve.
