Thank you for your interest in coming to Back On Track Physiotherapy. Our focus is to help you become painfree and regain your optimum physical health. We see this as a team effort between you and your therapist - you will receive one-on-one care, you will be shown exercises and educated on your condition, and you will know how to prevent recurrence.

Your treatment here involves one real goal - how quickly can we return you to optimum independent function. We discourage you from becoming entirely dependent on us to manage your condition ; we encourage your participation in the process as being active and educated will give you some control and confidence in managing your condition and lead to a quicker recovery.

We hope you find the following information helpful when attending your upcoming appointment and in answering any further questions you may have about physiotherapy and Back On Track.

About Your Treatment

Our focus is to give you one-on-one time with your physiotherapist to determine an individualized treatment program for your specific problem. One of the keys to effective treatment is finding the underlying cause of the problem; it may not be as simple as you think and it may not be solely where the pain is.

For example, your recurring low back pain may be compensatory for a very stiff hip or mid-back; treatment would have to involve these areas to be efficient and to prevent continuing flare-ups.

Your first visit with your physiotherapist will be for a minimum of one hour, during which they will conduct a very thorough biomechanical assessment to find this cause and then initiate treatment. We will explain our findings to you and offer immediate suggestions and ideas to help you cope with your pain and improve your function.

Our therapists are usually booked no more than two clients per hour so as to ensure they can use their skills and knowledge efficiently, focus on your needs, and offer extremely effective treatment.

If you cannot attend your appointment we require 24 hours notice or there will be a cancellation charge. You have scheduled a time with your therapist; this is booked specifically for you. Please respect your therapist's time and that of the other clients. You can leave a message 24 hours/day at

Hunt Club (613)521-5215 *          Manotick (613)692-1572 *          Carleton Place (613)253-5215               Perth (613)264-0888

Your treatment may involve:

  • electrotherapy (ultrasound, interferential current, musle stimulation, etc.)
  • pain management
  • taping/bracing

Each treatment is personalized to meet your needs according to your type of injury, your history, your work demands, your goals, and your lifestyle.
