Orthopaedic Physiotherapist
Dan Clements has been a physiotherapist with Back on Track at the Hunt Club Clinic since 2002. He graduated with honours from Dalhousie University Kinesiology program in 1999 with interests in biomechanics, fitness testing, exercise testing and prescription. After graduating with honours from Queens University's Physiotherapy program he relocated to Ottawa and began working at Back on Track. Dan has completed his level three manual therapy courses and plans on challenging for his post-graduate diploma in manual therapy from the orthopaedic division of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association.
Dan enjoys opportunities where he can combine his interests in manual therapy, biomechanics and sports. He is a guest lecturer in a number of education sessions designed to educated volleyball coaches and parents on the prevention of overuse injuries. For these reasons he enjoys working with athletes and injuries involving the shoulder and spine. He also has a special interest in the treatment of the temporal mandibular joint (TMJ).
Outside of the physiotherapy profession you may catch up with Dan either at the bottom of the St. Lawrence River scuba diving or scaling a rock wall.
